About Sarah Bruno
Sarah Bruno is a seasoned nonprofit executive with over 20 years of experience leading mission-driven organizations through periods of growth, transition, and operational strengthening. With a background in social work and a deep commitment to equity and inclusion, she brings a thoughtful, people-centered approach to organizational leadership, strategic planning, and team development.
Most recently, Sarah served as Chief Operating Officer at Accountable.US, where she oversaw internal operations, infrastructure, and organizational planning. Prior to that, as Chief of Staff at the same organization, she supported executive leadership and managed cross-functional initiatives during a time of significant growth. Her leadership as Executive Director at the Public Leadership Education Network (PLEN) and earlier roles at Truman National Security Project and America Votes have equipped her with broad experience across organizational development, fundraising, and coalition-building.
